Hi ,
I have been residing in the U.S. (NY) since 0ct 2007 with an H4 visa. My dad had and still has an H1B visa. I have completed my high school here in the States only and now I am enrolled as a full time student in a college (in-state tuition). Now the problem is I will turn 21 this February and I believe I will no longer be a dependent on my father's H1 visa and would be residing "illegally". In that case what should I do? I want to complete my studies and stay here in the U.S. with my family and not be deported back to my home country all alone :(
Is changing to F1 a good option for me ? I heard it could be risky? Is there any way I could have my studies going smoothly as it is now considering the out state tution under F1 would be too much...
any suggestions and help would be greatly apppreciated

1.Does it matter size of new company in terms of money or number employee for continuing my GC process ?.
2. In case of RFE, Will there be question on Ability to Pay on new small company?

Once again, he is in the thick of a budget fight between the White House and Congress.
But this time, he is driving the confrontation.
As the clock ticks toward a Congressional recess, with Democrats struggling to wrap 11 major spending bills into one and Mr. Bush threatening to veto the huge package, Republicans see the hand of Mr. Gillespie at work. �Ed believes that one of the reasons the Republicans lost is because we had lost our way on spending,� said Pete Wehner, a former policy analyst for Mr. Bush who left the White House this spring. �He worked for Dick Armey; I think he�s a small government conservative, and I think he believes Democrats and their spending habits are a target-rich environment.�
And Democrats have provided targets, by waiting until two months into the new fiscal year to finish their appropriations work. Mr. Bush has already vetoed Democratic measures on children�s health and Iraq war spending, and a water resources bill � all the while complaining lawmakers are wasting taxpayers� money, and scolding them like errant schoolchildren who forgot to turn in their homework.

But while Mr. Emanuel said he has �nothing but respect for Ed,� he argued that, after seven years of runaway Republican spending, even a master strategist like Mr. Gillespie will have trouble remaking Mr. Bush�s image.
�He�s $4 trillion too late,� Mr. Emanuel said.
At 46, Mr. Gillespie is part of a core of newcomers who are seeing Mr. Bush through the end of his presidency as his Texas inner circle breaks up. Unlike his predecessor, Dan Bartlett, who spent his entire adult life working for Mr. Bush, Mr. Gillespie not a presidential intimate, but neither is he a stranger.
In 2000, he was a member of the Gang of Six, a group of strategists for the Bush-Cheney campaign. That same year, he joined with Jack Quinn, a former White House counsel to Mr. Clinton, to found Quinn Gillespie & Associates, his lobbying firm. He earned a reported $4.75 million when he sold his share of the firm to join the White House, but he could easily pass through Washington�s revolving door yet again, earning even more after Mr. Bush leaves office.
Mr. Gillespie�s critics say he traded on his contacts to get rich. �He�s so entwined with the Bush money machine,� said Joan Claybrook, president of Public Citizen, a watchdog group.
But his admirers say he has not forgotten his roots. His father, an Irish immigrant, ran a mom-and-pop grocery store and later a bar in their hometown, Browns Mills, N.J. I applied GC labor in Mar 2005 and After 140 approval and 485 is pending morethan 2yrs, i changed my employer by using AC21. After that i recieved a letter from USCIS saying that I-485 denial on May 25th 2010, then after we applied on MTR on June 10th 2010. I recieved an reciept on June 20th 2010.
Can i work now by using an EAD or i need to wait until get the approval on MTR please do advice and when i could get the response from USCIS. My EAd is going to be expire within a couple of months, i applied renewal and i got a reciept on I-765. Please help me on this, really appreciate your help.

Im new to photography and am looking into photography for local music venues.
I have a D40 with its standard 18-55mm lens but I'm looking for a lens with a better aperture.
I am looking to get the Nikon 55mm f1.8 which is around �80.
As this is not an AF-S lens and can not focus automatically, will it sitll work with the D40 if I use manual focus?

While we all sit and wait in this painful 485 retrogression, I am just wondering, what if the retrogression pulls on past the 3 year extension (attained after the initial 6 years and I140 approval).
I have my perm LC/I140 approved/485 retrogressed with a PD of Feb 2006.
Being EB2 and starting my 7/8/9 years in early 2007, I am a bit unlikely to hit that scenerio, but someone like me in EB3 is very likely to hit that scenerio...
Does anyone know, what happens after 9 years on H1 and not able to file 485 due to retrogression??
I have my perm LC/I140 approved/485 retrogressed with a PD of Feb 2006.
